I’m not sure how many people remember the gifted blog author who wrote under the name Belle de Jour. Looks like her story will finally become a movie starring Billie Piper.
Ms. Piper is taking her role seriously:

Augh. I don’t know anything about this but that article and the comments it got makes me want to break something, like the author’s face maybe. The image of high-class whore (working that very pretty mouth) followed immediately by dominatrix is an association that I find especially pungent.

I used to read the blog this is based on. I don’t even remember her even mentioning doing kink. Probably the dominatrix bit will last for five minutes.
I don’t know how it works in NY but when I see the word dominatrix I always assume it means professional sex worker.
