In Portland, OR Sung Koo Kim may spend as many as nine years behind bars for his compulsive filching of female undergarments.
When investigators searched Kim’s bedroom, they found more than 3 400 pairs of underwear and other pieces of women’s clothing, along with dryer lint and human hair, marked with information as to where the clothing was taken, and stuffed into boxes, duffel bags and backpacks. His home computer contained more than 40 000 pornographic images, mostly depicting rape, torture and killings.
Likely his porn collection contributed to the length of the sentence since it rendered Kim “dangerous” in the eyes of the court.

The only reason this man got 9 years for stealing panties is because he is of Asian descent and he perpetrated the crime against white society, specifically white woman. I bet if this had happened in the Asian community where he stole Asian women’s panties he would’ve gotten probably 3 years probation at most. WTF..9 years for stealing panties?!?!!
Ok, admittingly the images of rape and torture found on his computer is disturbing, and yes some jail time should be administered because that’s the written law, however you shouldn’t convict him on a crime that you think will happen in the future because of him having a fetish for this type of material.
Experts testified that he’s dangerous because of the material found on his computer, maybe, maybe not, but the fact remains…he did not commit the crime of rape and torture, it was panty stealing.
What if you were jailed everytime someone did you wrong and the thought of revenge with some sort of criminal act came to your mind.

Where’s the justice?
In this case…in my humble opinion, the time doesn’t fit the crime.
