‘Our posture changes completely and the way we stand says “We’re available, but on our terms”. Men often feel very threatened by this look - they like it as a fantasy, but they can’t always cope with the reality of such strong and confident women.’
Having already bought a pair of the Versace ankle boots, Egan-Strang should know what she’s talking about. She adds: ‘Women feel empowered by wearing the high heels and sharp clothes which are currently fashionable.
‘They imply that we’ve made an effort to get dressed, we’re happy to be noticed and that we can also hold down quite powerful jobs in order to buy these clothes.
