There was also just a lot of networking and regular camaraderie among a crowd of consenting adults, either enjoying what they refer to as “the lifestyle” or others exploring something kinky.
K, who was behind the table for the Western Mass Power Exchange, an outreach group for the BDSM (bondage, disciple, sadism and masochism) community, says fetish is nothing new, it’s just becoming more open and more accepted by society as a whole. And it doesn’t hurt that a lot of people who are gravitating toward the fetish community look exactly like your neighbors, or your local board of selectmen.
